Jubilee Bench, Plants and Fostering

Commemorative Bench

Dry Drayton Parish Council is funding the installation in the parish of an ornate back oak bench to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The Parish Council would like your views on where best to site the bench on their land, the choices being: Pump Green, end of the High Street and the Village Green. Please send your suggestion in an e-mail to clerk@drydraytonpc.org.uk before 1 June 2022, to inform the PC’s decision on this at their next meeting on 7 June.

Plant Sale in aid of Riding for Disabled – From Annie Harley

Thank you to everyone who supported the plant sale at the beginning of May, either by buying plants or giving plants for sale. We made a magnificent £84, for Cambs College Riding for the Disabled group. There will be a further sale over the weekend of 28/29 May when we will have ‘softer’ plants such as chillis, peppers, tomatoes, squash, cosmos, zinnias, marigolds, rudbeckia, as well as sunflowers and some hardier garden plants. Please do visit the stall which will be outside Jasmine House and The Spinney in Pettitts Lane.
