Dry Drayton News and Info 21.4.24

Wine and Cheese at the Village Hall

Tuesday 23 April from 7.30 pm. You are invited to get to know the hall and meet your Dry Drayton neighbours. During the evening we will have our Annual Meeting, normally a short affair. Following the Annual Meeting we’ll continue with the informal evening. Come with your ideas.  If you’d like to help us manage the hall that would be great but if you just want the wine & cheese and to meet  your neighbours we’d love to see you.  You can see more about the village hall or make a booking online by visiting our website: https://drydraytonvillagehall.org.uk/ . We have a stage.  We have a big screen.  Maybe you came to the Coronation screening last May?  Would you like to have another curry night.  Can you help?  All welcome! Zero Carbon Communities grant scheme

This grant aims to empower community groups and parish councils to take local action on climate change. Applications are once again invited for projects under two themes: reducing carbon emissions or locking up carbon, and community engagement around climate change. Projects funded previously have included community building retrofits, food waste and climate-friendly cooking education, and e-bike rental schemes. All applicants should review the updated application guidance and information documents. Please note especially, all solar PV projects are now asked to have received three quotations from potential suppliers. More here: https://tinyurl.com/mtu6eem6
