Riding for the Disabled Charity

From Annie Harley: Thank you to everyone who supported the plant sale for Riding for the Disabled. We made a handsome £97.  And I need some more help please – I need to make some props for a riding competition for the group, and need a small quantity of red and green paint. If you have some on a shelf in your garage that you don’t need, please contact me on 07714 393408. It could be any kind of paint – car, floor, emulsion, gloss, anything!  Thank you very much.  Annie Harley

Great British Spring Clean – not too late to help.

Dry Drayton Parish Council has registered for the Great British Spring Clean which started on 28 May and will run for two weeks. It is a great opportunity to tidy the Village and get Dry Drayton ready for the summer. South Cambs are assisting with rubbish bags and their collection. The PC has high-visibility jackets and litter pickers. It is obviously important that any activity of this type follows current Government guidelines for Covid to ensure that it is carried out in a safe manner, and risk assessments have been carried out and will be shared with volunteers. If you are interested in assisting please e-mail Stephen Aldersley aldersley@btinternet.com and let him know your availability and the area you wish to help clear. Further information can be found by Googling “Great British Spring Clean” or checking www.keepbritaintidy.org/get-involved/support-our-campaigns/great-british-spring-clean
