Village Coffee Morning   COFFEE MORNING 10 – 12  at the Village Hall on the first Wednesday of the month.  All welcome. Our next date is Wednesday 7 December, 10-12 at the Village Hall.  If you don’t fancy a cake maybe you’d like a mince pie?  If you’d prefer to take something away with you and enjoy at home you are welcome.  Bring your own mug.  We’re serving home made cakes and mince pies with a good cup of coffee or tea at a very modest price. Please note that there is a box in the hall where we welcome donations for the food bank. And, for your diary – the next Coffee Morning will be on Wednesday January 4th 2023. (Judith Bennetton)

Congestion Charge etc   The GCP consultation “Making Connections” on the Cambridge congestion charge runs until the 23rd of December. In the meantime, our local MP is running his own survey to provide him with information to help fight the charge. Anthony Browne MP says, “If these plans go ahead, Cambridge will have the most severe congestion charging scheme in the whole of the UK. It will introduce a £5 daily congestion charge to drive in Cambridge, applying to all types of private vehicles, regardless of size and fuel type. It will apply to all journeys into and within the city, including Addenbrooke’s, Royal Papworth, and the Rosie hospitals. It is, without doubt, the most controversial local issue I have dealt with since I was elected as an MP.”
