DDPC, P & R and PCC

Dear All,

1. Your Parish Council wants to hear from you

Next Tuesday, 15th November, the Parish Council meets. Their agenda is on the Parish Council’s website www.drydraytonpc.org.uk . The meeting starts at 8pm, members of the public can speak only at the beginning of the agenda. There is still time before the meeting to give the Parish Council your views on the four questions they posed in their mini village questionnaire in the November Village Newsletter. The questions (see page 8 of the November Dry Drayton Village Newsletter) relate to introducing CCTV into the village, planning issues regarding new housing near the school, preventing dog fouling and how the PC communicates. You can e-mail your responses to the questions to the Parish Clerk  clerk@drydraytonpc.org.uk and/or to Councillor Sylvia Pryer sylviapryer@aol.com , or if you prefer, you can complete the questionnaire online at the Village Website http://www.drydrayton.net

2. West Cambridge Park and Ride, Scotland Farm Dry Drayton

In case you had not heard about the proposal to site the West Cambridge Park and Ride car park at Scotland Farm – this is on the Parish Council’s agenda for Tuesday. You will find material on this on the Greater Cambridge City Deal website http://tinyurl.com/hddnxw

3.  Police and Crime Commissioner

The Police and Crime Commissioner (former Dry Drayton resident Jason Ablewhite) has just published his latest Newsletter which you can read on his website at http://www.cambridgeshire-pcc.gov.uk/whats-new/newsletters/. He has just signed a rural crime concordat with the Police and Crime Commissioners of Norfolk and Suffolk  promoting closer cross border cooperation on rural crime. Incidentally, following the recent spate of burglaries in the village,  there is advice for you on security from our Village Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator and from the Cambs Constabulary on the village website www.drydrayton.net
