Book of Condolence |
In this time of national mourning St Peter and St Paul, Dry Drayton offers a place for personal reflection and thanksgiving. There is a Book of Condolence in the church and an opportunity to leave prayers of thanksgiving, prayers for the Royal Family, and more personal prayers. There are also national online books of condolence available for the public to leave messages of condolence. You will find these on the Church of England’s website www.churchofengland.org/ and the Royal Family website www.royal.uk/ . Anyone who wishes to leave flowers is welcome to do so outside the church, to the left of the porch as you enter the church. These flowers will remain until the day after the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. There will be a special Service of Thanksgiving for Queen Elizabeth II at St Peter and St Paul on Sunday 18th September at 3pm. This Sunday’s service (9.30am) is a service of Holy Communion and Baptism when, of course, prayers will be said in thanksgiving for the life of Queen Elizabeth II, as well as prayers for King Charles III and all the Royal Family. GOD SAVE KING CHARLES III |
