Coronavirus – Dry Drayton

Dear All,

There are two items of local news to circulate.

1. Helping Dry Drayton Villagers

There has been a lot of positive discussion between villagers on the “Dry Drayton People” group on Facebook about helping each other through these difficult and unprecedented times. As a result you should have received through your door a leaflet in the following terms.

You are one of our Dry Drayton people and we are here to help.
If you are self isolating due to the Coronavirus we can help with:

  • Collecting shopping and dropping off to your doorstep
  • Collecting prescriptions
  • Even just a friendly chat on the phone

This service is run by our caring villagers on a voluntary basis and no charge will be made for any help.

If you need help please call or text 07900 813046 (Parish Councillor Fiona Peck) and we will organise help as a priority.

If you are equally in a position that you feel you could help, please do contact us (many hands make light work).

2.  News about your Village Hall.

The Village Hall management has decided to close the Village Hall from 16th March 2020, to all users, as it would be impossible to maintain sufficient cleanliness. All users have been informed. There will be no Coffee Mornings until further notice. The Committee meeting advertised for 24th March, to which everyone was invited, has been cancelled.
