More on Crime
Another burglary in the village – Between 10:00am and 1:00pm on 13/09/17 at Oakington Road, Dry Drayton. Unknown offender has forced entry into a property via the front door and was then scared off by the dog left inside.
Cambs police warn of a spate of tool thefts in South Cambridgeshire recently. Most of these have been thefts from vans but they have seen a couple of building sites broken into. If you notice any suspicious behavior then please call 101, or 999 if you see a break-in in progress. And police are advising that you look after your tools, store them securely, mark your tools, park vehicles containing tools sensibly, and report to them any “dodgey deals” involving tools for sale.
Saving the Black Horse
In case you have not heard, below is the latest update from Judith Bennetton on behalf of the Black Horse Steering Group.
Many of you will have seen or heard that the lease of the Black Horse has been sold. We understand from the Agent that the new owners have “shown a keen interest in the campaign to save the Black Horse” so they will know about the results of our survey in June and we are encouraged by that. We will pass on all your comments (anonymously) and are sure that, with our support, the new leaseholder(s) can be off to a very good start.
Make a note of the next pop up pub (with food) in the Village Hall on Saturday 30th September. All welcome.
