Thank you to the c.25 people who attended the meeting last night organised by the SVA to discuss the draft Village Plan. This was supportive of the need for a Plan, threw up some fresh ideas & generally supported many of the proposals, including the need for more housing, but with concerns about the scale, location & timeline for any expansion. Strictly this issue is outside the remit of a VP, but it forms an essential context to the development of new facilities & safeguarding existing ones.
The key to delivering many of the identified needs, particularly sport & recreational,is the availability of appropriate land. So if anyone out there knows of such land, please step forward!
Last night's meeting marked just the start of the consultation period, so please make your views known, either as an individual or on behalf of your organisation/club/society, by any of the means set out in the draft VP.

I think it is a question of getting out of our cars. walking around the village has re- aquainted me with people and allowed time to talk to new people.
It is a bit like when you walk your children to school, you meet people on a daily basis and then know a lot more about them and their life. I suggest we all get out more for a walk .
