Electrifying Week in Dry Drayton

Last Wednesday (1st September) saw the second power cut in the village in a fortnight. We understand that a pylon and cables in the village were brought down in an agricultural accident. EDF did an excellent job working away on this in the dark for hours and got the power back on in the early hours of the morning. Then on Saturday morning we were greeted by a collapsing lamp postĀ in PettittsĀ Lane – so was this vandalism, another accident of some sort or just plain old lamp post fatigue?

Lamp Post Fatigue or what?

Fred Northrop got this picture of the activities at the damaged pylon on the 1st. Nice one Fred.
